Windows 10 is dead, and Big Tech as a whole is dead to me

Exactly one week from now, Windows 10 is shutting down for everyone. I was already put off by the blatant spyware- sorry, I mean the brand-new, ultra-useful Recall feature, I was put off by that, so I didn't really want to download Windows 11, but I thought I had no other choice. In my mind, Linux doesn't have a lot of support, so I wouldn't be able to play my favourite games.
And then I found out my CPU wasn't good enough for W11.
Thank god for that, because it brought me to Linux! Despite the fact that I can't figure out how to make my Razer gear work (and there's countless other things I'm struggling with), I think I'm having a good time. Currently trying to figure out how to make r/Unixporn on Ubuntu (with the Nix home manager... I think...), and if I figure out how to do that, great! Otherwise, I might switch to NixOS. Maybe. What can I say? I'm a sucker for aesthetics. Have you seen this blog??? It should've been obvious.
I'm also having fun with Nextcloud, though I think I'd like Jellyfin better (if only I could make the install work)...

rediscovered my old carrd... i guess this means i have to create a new version. hey, that's this site! hi! this website is still under construction at the time of writing this post, but i really want to keep developing it. i get to make a little mind palace AND i get to push my coding skills to the limit--this neocities page is like my personal testing grounds! :) for the homepage, i'm taking serious inspiration from the carrd era (mostly from my old carrd i linked earlier, but also from other people's old carrds), but the rest of this site will have wildly different aesthetics. i'm pretty sure i'm gonna write a separate css file for every single page :'). ah, the price that creativity comes with... wouldn't have it any other way.

I've recently discovered SMACCS. You can imagine the pure euphoria I experienced when I realised there was a better, more organized way to write CSS.
Except... no. Because how was I supposed to remember it all?!
And then, I created it. My magnum opus. BLaSt Them. Base, Layout, State, Theme.
I'm currently abusing this mnemonic device.
